NutanAs a child, I was keen on creative 'stuff', though as with caring duties, there was little time to play. In later life, I was lucky to find in painting, a way to process, to both lose and find myself. (It became a substitute for reaching places that I could no longer manage on walks.) Although I have since worked with photography, sculpture and textiles, abstract painting was my first sanctuary to which I have now returned. I start with spontaneous mark making, creating layers & textures. Being in a community setting to make art is always a source of inspiration and nourishment. It is the only way I have ever worked and one for which I am grateful.
