Angela AI have been part of Camden Carers Art Group for just over six months. The weekly sessions have provided a space in my life to experiment with art and creativity which I have not had time or the opportunity to focus on until now. The sessions have encouraged and challenged me to think in a different way to being at work and being a parent; through observation and experimentation I have chosen a pathway to experience still life, land and seascapes.
This spring has seen the class experimenting with watercolours after demonstrations from Richard, our facilitator. For me, the creative process is based on layering of paint, along with watercolour washes - whilst juggling my choice of subject, method and even brushes. Mixing classic colours for my work has helped me to find that elusive shade to represent what I am seeing and feeling and is deeply satisfying. |
